I often get calls/text for recommendations on how to get rid of a cold fast. 😷

In short, there is no cure for a cold!

The common cold is self limiting, and will normally resolve without treatment.

However, you can optimize your health to help reduce symptoms, and recovery time.

🤒The average adult has an average of 2 to 3 colds per year, and according to the CDC, over 200 viruses can cause a cold, with the most common being the rhinovirus.

🤕Most colds usually have an onset of symptoms peaking between 2-3 days, with an improvement of symptoms within 10 to 14 days. Those with pre-existing health conditions, may experience longer symptoms.

❤️How to optimize your health, to reduce your recovery time from a cold:

Rest

Stay hydrated

Use a clean air humidifier

Throat lozenges

Honey to relieve a cough (✨must be > 1 year old)

Maintaining a healthy immune defense system, will aide to lower incident of infection, severity of symptoms, the duration of a common cold!

There is a cart full of supplements, vitamins I could recommend, but simple is usually best.

💊Vitamin C & D, Zinc, and Echinacea have evidence-based efficacy on their immune system barriers.

✨Zinc was shown to shorten the duration of colds by approximately 33%, when initiated within 24 hours of onset of symptoms.

✨Vitamin D was found to significantly increase the probability of preventing infection.

✨Vitamin C show to reduce the duration and the severity of the common cold.

✨Echinacea showed lower risk of reoccurrences and development of complications of respiratory infections due to their antiviral an anti-inflammatory effects.

You can achieve hydration, vitamin, mineral, antioxidants optimization through IV infusion.
